Research Assistant for Ph.D students in Mechanical Engineering or Bioengineering

A research assistant position for PhD students is available for Spring Semester, 2010 in Microsystem Engineering Laboratory in the School of Engineering at the University of California at Merced. The research areas include developing micro systems for biomedical diagnosis, stem cell engineering and tissue engineering.

Background in fluid mechanics, bioengineering, multi-scale multi-physics simulation, micro/nano fluidics, microscale heat transfer, micro/nano fabrication, micro sensor/actuator, microsystem, lab-on-a-chip, and prior experiences in one or more of these areas are highly desirable.
