Fulbright Scholar Program – International Educational Exchange Program

Fulbright Scholar Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to "increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and the peoples of other countries."

The programs were established to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.

The Fulbright Program provides funds for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools abroad. The initial reach of this program had been primarily European countries, but now the program operates worldwide.

For this purpose, as a starting point, the Fulbright Scholar Program has provided nearly 300,000 participants, chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential - it is an opportunity to learn, teach and conduct research, share ideas and help find solutions to shared international concerns.

Fulbright Program, including the Fulbright-Hays, is a scholarship program for international educational exchange for scholars, teachers, graduate students and professionals, founded by U. S. Senator J. William Fulbright.
