Attending school is one of those phases when a person should learn how to be structured in their work and life skills more than ever. Good routines learned now will last a lifetime.

To those who are off to university soon, the most important advice that might possibly be given is of the financial aspect. Since they will certainly be away from their parents and will be compelled to take proper care of their own well-being and their own finances, it is advisable that they find out how to be financially well prepared as fast as possible.

Organizing your money is crucial. Because the world is going through an economic crisis, organization suggestions are vital to keep you solvent. This is quite appropriate for people who do not have a full time job likepost secondary education students. More than ever before, these young people must recognize that the conditions that many people have nowadays are hard and they, independently, can do all kinds of things to get by.

Let us face it, the cost of just about everything has increased. From gasoline, food and also school materials, everything is costing more and the only concern going down is the world's monetary climate. Given these issues, it is really hard to spend less for college and be employed part time to cover costs. Some of us are even persuaded by those tempting credit card loans or student loans that have minimal interest rates but have disguised costs that catch the inexperienced off guard.

But, before you get started complaining about how tough it is to complete college and how it is just somebody with money who can pay to acquire an instruction degree, here are a number of organization ideas that can assist you to save a part of your resources while you are attending college.

Take advantage of second-hand textbooks that your brothers and sisters as well as your relatives have put to use. There is nothing wrong with used textbooks and reference books. It truly is a wonderful way of being frugal. What's the difference anyway? Books, old or new, are merely books, besides you'll never be aware of what kind of notes you can find inside.

Get the items you require in bulk. For college students who are living or renting off campus, it's more cost-effective to buy things in big amounts or by the dozen. In fact, there are many wholesale stores where people can get sizeable savings. You can purchase your snacks, toilet paper and soap here and you could possibly divvy the price among your room mates, and I'm positive they won't mind.

Try to get out of spending extra for buses or for fuel. Walking more will certainly save you some cash since you won't need to pay for commuting to and fro. In addition to helping you reduce your cost, it's also a good kind of workout while supporting the environment by reducing carbon pollution levels.

Learn to cook your own meals. When you are ready to make this happen, you can have your meals inside your pad oftener and can help you lessen expenses. Experts say that this is one of the best organization tips that college students could learn. If they prepare their own food, they can save a bundle.

Here is a nice free tool for anyone starting any new endeavor.

McGill University has embarked on a new era of interdisciplinary research in the life sciences with the opening of more than 150,000 sq ft of start-of-the-art research facilities in the newly constructed Bellini Life Sciences Centre and the Goodman Cancer Research Center.

These new buildings create an interconnected McGill University Life Sciences Complex that houses a dynamic research community of over 200 biomedical researchers. In addition to spectacular excellent laboratory space, this new infrastructure includes modern core facilities for FACS, high throughput screening, small molecule and shRNA siRNA screening, imaging, mass spectrometry, 800 & 600 MHz NMR, X-ray crystallography, Biacore T100, deep sequencing, small angle X ray scattering and informatics infrastructure. They also include a new state of the art mouse facility that is equipped for mouse genetics, transgenic animals and for working with BSL-2 and BSL-3 level pathogens.

The goal of these recruitments is to enhance the interdisciplinary research environment areas of Chemical and Structural Biology Program, one of the 5 new research themes of this new research complex. This program explores the underlying biology of human disease by examining the interplay between chemistry, biology and physics. Areas of particular interest include but are not limited to systems biology, structural biology, and bioinformatics.

We invite applications from well-qualified candidates at all stages of their careers who have enthusiasm for multidisciplinary research and are eager to develop novel approaches toward understanding fundamental biological and disease processes. The successful candidate will be provided competitive start up packages and will contribute to the research and teaching missions of one or more of the Departments of the Faculty of Medicine.

Montreal, one of North America’s most culturally diverse and lively cities offers a high quality of life with affordable housing with highly motivated and intelligent students.

Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent and at least three years of postdoctoral research training. Please submit your application electronically at the following website: (http://www.medicine.mcgill.ca/academic/rec_applicationform.htm). In order to complete the application process, please also send to acadpersonnel.med(at)mcgill.ca a single PDF file that includes a letter outlining your current and future research interests, a copy of your CV and the names and addresses of three references.

Informal inquiries to:
Dr. David Y Thomas
david.thomas(at)mcgill.ca

All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority. McGill University is committed to diversity and equity in employment.
